Croatian Rhapsody

Croatian Rhapsody by Tonci Huljic. This piece was made popular by Maksim a few years back.
And its my favorite and most awaited piece for tomorrow!! (Susie my fellow intermed07 will be performing this piece on the Grand P)

All the best Susie :) Will be rooting for you and the rest of the performers. We are super proud of you guys!

Padang Tonight

Tomorrow is the day, where cultures intersect, bonds of friendship formed and the passion for music, shared. All in the name of charity, and kindness.

Tomorrow is the day, talented souls join forces, sharing their love for mankind and music. And those who are willing to contribute, emerge victorious.

The courageous survivors of the Padang Earthquake need us, be it to start a new life or to instill fresh hope in their hearts. So donate, for every Rupiah means way more than you could ever possibly imagine.

We may have our differences, but generosity and kindness, is a language, that everyone understands and appreciates. You can make a difference, no matter how minor your contributions are, in the name of selflessness and charity. Believe that, you can make a difference.

Hope everything goes well for tomorrow :)

Elections
by: Ahmad Syauqi Shukri

Elections in Afghan, is coming by,
Ali Baba looks out the window, he waves and says "Hi",

He says,
You know, politics is not a clean thing,
You can get screwed, especially if you know nothing,

So take your time, and think for the best,
This is your country, you want it to last,

But if you're too lazy, to get involved with all these things,
Take my advice brother, lets go out and get a drink.

Hahaha. Amacam, ada can menang best poem tak?

Random : Lazy

The Urban Dictionary says:

"A movement founded by myself, promoting conservation of energy, in an effort to postpone entropy. Followers are looked upon not as leeches to society, but activists, bailing out the universe from imminent doom with a cry of reason, often drowned out by shrills of "duuurrrr" from every dronish, hard-working idiot in the world."

Hahaha. The things people say to make themselves feel better. LOL.

3 people

3 interesting characters i met this week (and probably will remain in my memory forever):

A superbly knowledgeable doctor, who practically listed down ALL the drugs needed to manage patient with heart failure in mere seconds. A highly motivated and charismatic person. She depicts how a women can really stand out in a sea of male doctors who practically rule the Cardiology Department. She's cold in some ways, wanting things to be done the right way which is her way. Kinda envied her charisma.

A frail looking grandmother, who walked all the way from Mirota to Amplaz selling keropok and pisang salai. She is 90+ years old. Everyday, she traveled the merciless distance to make a living. God knows what happened to her family. She is too cute for words and eager to learn about life beyond Yogya. She yearns to perform her hajj, but of course, tak mampu. I really love talking to her. She asked me a lot of things. About Malaysia, my parents etc. She gave me some keropoks for free and asked me to share with my housemates (how selfless). Before we part ways, she asked me to send her salam to my parents. And told me that she will always pray for my family. I teared up a little. Such a big impression it has made on my life despite the fact that we were perfect strangers who happen to meet on coincidence.

An amazingly stubborn cab driver. Who blames Malaysia for almost everything that happens between the two "also stubborn" nations. He said that we are "malings" who stole almost everything from other people and "penjahats" who could care less about respecting the Indonesians in Malaysia. I got scared in the cab, but also felt the need to explain something to him. Which I did. He thankfully (and suprisingly) understoood, and at the end, became less emotional. With a little bit of heart, and patience; nothing will disrupt your mind from thinking straight.

This week has really been, something.

So, who did you meet today?

Nglipar 1

Yesterday's journey to the primary health centre (PUSKESMAS) my group was assigned to, was not an easy one. I had severe vertigo the whole way. The bumpy, winding roads weren't of any help at all. It was totally bad show, i tell ya. I was thinking ways to divert the vomiting center in my brain from being stimulated. The effect was so great that i still can feel the ground moving sideways a day after.

But it was a great experience. We went in looking as interns and assigned to our separate post. Everyone were posted to the emergency department, pharmacy, ward, policlinic and maternity room respectively, one at each post.

The ward was full of patients at that time, leaving no beds empty. We mingled and perform physical examination on the patients. One thing about the patients and people here, they are just too polite for words. They get all excited when we came in, and with open arms, allowed us to check them. Some of them even said how happy they are to contribute in our learning process while some joked saying we came to the right place since all of them are "berpenyakit" here. Haha.

The scene here is way different from the ones we see back home. The patients really respect the doctor, not only as their caregiver. But also as a friend. They find the comfort in the sincerity of the doctor, and vice versa. The condition of the ward was terrible, to tell the truth. And i admire their modesty.

It has been a great day. And a totally ironic one.
How can you feel so incredibly belonged talking to people you just met and have a totally different background than yours?
